Taming the WYSIWYG Beast with Plain Text

One of the big issues with WYSIWYG editors in CMSs is that it's very easy to paste in formatted content.
Users pasting from other apps inadvertently introduce styles that aren’t part of the website’s template.
This is a headache that we always knew we wanted to eradicate in SetSeed so we’ve focused on creating a fascinating approach to working with content. Plain text at its core but with super powerful mechanisms for manipulating the formatting and styles.
Today we had a report that was a curious inversion of the inadvertent formatting problems of old. Somehow we ended up with a situation where one of the SetSeed UI elements has made itself into the page output!
I’ll need a bit more time to track down the root cause of this one I think. Luckily SetSeed has full version history and an undo queue so even in the rare situation something does go wrong like this it’s an easy issue to deal with.
