Exploring Forms and Advanced Functionality
We've been working on some improvements to the advanced form system in SetSeed.
The advanced form widget allows you to build complex contact forms that span multiple pages and even lets you use all the normal page layout widgets to lay out the structure of the forms.
This includes multiple columns, tabs, and expand/collapse widgets. It also means you can mix the form fields with normal rich text, images, and other content.
There is also a Conditional Form Toggle widget that lets you use rules to show and hide other fields on the form.
Of course, because we have everything all under one roof, a contact form in SetSeed is way more than just a ‘form to email’ system.
Forms can add people to user lists in the CRM area and optionally create an account for the user to allow sign-in to protected areas of the site. Plus, things like auto-responders and even category options that map to the user list categories.
A good example of one of our features that at first glance is super simple but actually unlocks crazy power when in use!
Oh, forgot to mention - if the form is on a login area of the site, its fields can be mapped to custom data fields for the user, and it even auto-saves the values as they fill in the form.
All built-in with no plugins needed.
